Insurance and Billing

We are under contract with over 40 health insurance plans with which we file claims for our families. As a part of our contract with insurance companies requiring co-pays, we are required to collect your co-pay at the time of your visit. If we are not under contract with your plan, we will provide an encounter form for each visit with all information required by insurance carriers. This form, attached to the appropriate claim form, is then forwarded to the carrier by the family. The insurance carrier may pay you directly.

Payment is expected when services are rendered. Our offices accept cash, checks, Visa, Master Card, Discover, and bank debit cards. It is your responsibility to know the details of your plan, the benefits it provides, and the amount of your co-payment or deductible.

As of August 1, 2007, The ESD Pediatric Group has changed billing providers. ESD no longer is contracted with CHAS (Child Health Administrative Services), and has switched to the services of ATHENAHEALTH. For billing inquiries, please call our office at (513) 248-3063.

Please know your insurance benefits. Many plans are going to larger deductibles and HSA (Health Savings Account) which may change your financial responsibilities. Check with your insurance carrier or HR department so that there are no surprises when visiting our office.
