Erica Walters, MD, FAAP, IBCLC
Dr. Walters grew up in Hayward, Wisconsin and graduated from Hayward High School in 2009. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a minor in music in 2013. Her medical degree was earned from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison, Wisconsin in 2017. She then left Wisconsin to come to Cincinnati Children’s to complete her pediatric residency. While at Children’s she was a resident leader in the Primary Care Pathway which emphasizes the knowledge and skills necessary for success in primary care Pediatrics. Immediately after completing her residency, she joined ESD Pediatric Group in July of 2020.
Dr. Walters has a strong interest in breastfeeding medicine and is IBCLC certified. She is also very involved in the Cincinnati Pediatric Society serving on their board and currently as their President (2023).
Dr. Walters currently resides in Madisonville with her husband, son and 2 golden retrievers. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking at the Cincinnati Nature Center, cooking Half Baked Harvest recipes, baking bread and playing fantasy football. On winter Sunday afternoons she can be found cheering on her beloved Green Bay Packers.
Dr. Walters primarily sees patients at the Milford location. She is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
